The Bhuthorn

Situated in the privileged location of Bangkok’s old town, The Bhuthorn, a century-old traditional shop house, offers three guestrooms, each decorated with the charm and characteristics of yesteryear. As you enter this historic boutique, it feels as though you’re being transported back in time. The building itself has been registered to the Fine Art Department since 1999, and the use of Thai fabrics, antique furniture, authentic wooden floors, and rattan accents helps to create a colonial atmosphere while maintaining a sense of refined comfort. The hotel building, constructed around 1906, is preserved under the Crown Property Bureau, and features many original materials. Each of the guest rooms are named after the three princes and decorated accordingly with a vintage atmosphere enhanced by old teak furniture pieces, rattan furnishings, and the use of Thai printed fabrics known as ‘Khomapastr’ and silk throws from the renowned ‘Jim Thompson’. All of the guest rooms are air-conditioned, with en-suite bathrooms, and well equipped with Satellite television, and Wi-Fi Internet. Numerous attractions are within walking distance, including the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, the Golden Mountain, National Museum, Temple of Reclining Buddha, and Khao San Road.
