Open just over a year, Red Mountain, Loch Palm’s sister course, takes its name from the terrain where it has risen. Red mountains spring up throughout the course surrounded by thick tropical jungle. On property that was a former tin mining complex, the undulating fairways and greens demonstrate just how well land can be rejuvenated and transformed into a second natural treasure. From Pro tees, this 18-hole Par 72 course stretches over 7,000 yards and includes both long and short Par 4s as well as four ‘shorty’ Par 3s. Still, they have been strategically designed with bunkers, traps and water hazards to ‘keep you on the ball’. This is why Red Mountain has quickly become a favorite among Phuket golfers who like a beautiful challenge.
