An authentic Vietnamese kitchen with a modern twist,
Dao Vien is the first Vietnamese restaurant to have
an open kitchen where customers can view the chefs
preparing all-time favorite dishes such as Pho, Kung
Pan Oai (shrimp cake wrapped around sugarcane)
and fresh spring rolls. Despite being a new restaurant,
Dao Vien is particular about the original recipe,
hence the Pho noodle is soaked overnight before it
is used for cooking, and shrimp for Kung Pan Oai is
mashed instead of being grinded in a food processor
to maximize the flavor.

Today, the basement where its
residents used to hide during
bombings in World War II has
been converted to an exclusive
wine cellar. Famous dishes include
steamed fish with lime and

Housed in a 100-year old, two-storied

French cuisine with a slight touch of Italian
flavors. Their French chef-in-residence’s
recommended dishes are roast duck confit
and grilled foie gras. And as Aubergine is

Meat lovers must not miss
this Japanese Grill which
features imported Matsuzaka
beef, renowned for being the
most tender beef that ‘melts
in your mouth’. A meal consisting
of Matsuzaka steak
becomes ‘perfect’ when accompanied
by a glass of
red wine, said the restaurant
owner Miss Yumi and hence,
Sadoya has an impressive
wine list. Furthermore, Sadoya
also serves black pig’s
meat which is said to be
more flavorful and tender
than regular pigs’.
